  • Help to Claim

We can help you make a new claim for Universal Credit, from opening your account to receiving your first full payment. Our team of trained advisers can help you:

    • set-up your Universal Credit account
    • complete your claim to-dos
    • verify your identity
    • make sure you’re providing the right evidence to the Jobcentre
    • understand what Universal Credit will mean for you.

    Visit us

Due to the coronavirus outbreak we’ve stopped running drop-in sessions at our offices and Jobcentres. You can still use the national helpline and webchat service if you need help.

    Call us on 0800 1448 444

Our national helpline is open 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Calls to this number are free.

    Get help online

You can talk to a webchat adviser on the Help to Claim page of the Citizens Advice website. Chat is usually available 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. If no advisers are available, the chat box won’t appear.

You can also find more information about Universal Credit on the Citizens Advice website.

    Work with us

If you’re a local organisation working with people who need to help to claim Universal Credit get in touch with Stephen Daws for more information about referring people to us.
