We know that life can be complicated – sometimes things can go wrong for all of us and high quality advice at a time of crisis can make all the difference. Last year we helped thousands of people to resolve their problems via our Adviceline, from outreach settings across our diverse borough, and from our centres in Roehampton to Battersea. It’s an exciting time to join us. We’ve recently remodeled our services and invested in expanding our telephone and online delivery.
With a turnover of over £1.3m, we deliver innovative and creative advice projects, have strong local community partnerships and campaign on the issues that matter to the people we support.
We are currently recruiting seeking a new Treasurer to join our Board as our current Treasurer is stepping down in 2020.
You don’t have to have been a trustee or treasurer before, but you will need considerable finance experience. We are keen to increase the diversity of our Board to reflect the community we support. We welcome candidates from any background who think they can contribute as a trustee and in particular would welcome applications from people from Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities.
The role is unpaid but we do cover reasonable expenses and pay for training relevant to the role.
If you want to help shape a thriving local advice agency, join us and help us continue to build on our strong foundations, deliver high quality services, and empower our staff and volunteers to do what matters most – make a real difference to people’s lives in Wandsworth.
