Our Disability and Social Care Advice Service (DASCAS) team give Wandsworth residents independent advice about disability benefits and services for disabled people. DASCAS offer telephone advice, home visits and advice appointments to people with disabilities and the friends and relatives who care for them.
Guides to filling in benefit forms
Citizens Advice has guidance that explains how to answer each question on a disability benefits form:
- Attendance Allowance (if your form is called ‘AA1: Attendance Allowance for people of State Pension age or over’)
- Employment and Support Allowance or the Limited Capability for Work component of Universal Credit (if your form is called ‘Capability for Work questionnaire’)
- Personal Independence Payment if your form is called ‘PIP2: How your disability affects you’).

For Child DLA forms you can speak to SEND in Mind, who specialise in supporting families with disabled children.
