Caseworker Supervisor (Telephone Advice)

Starting Salary: £29,000 – £31,000 per annum pro rata depending on skills and experience
Hours: 7-21 hours per week (0.2 – 0.6 full-time equivalent)
Normal working hours 9.30-17.30 excluding lunch
We will consider applicants who wish to work 1, 2 or 3 days per week, please indicate your preference when applying
We will also consider applicants who wish to combine this role with the Casework Supervisor (EU Nationals) role (see below) – i.e. a full time position
Location: Battersea Library with occasional outreach visits
Contract: Fixed term until March 2018 – may be extended subject to funding
Start Date: Immediately

Citizens Advice Wandsworth runs an Adviceline as part of a West and South West London partnership and is looking for a part-time supervisor to oversee quality delivery and support volunteers advisers and trainees. In addition you will also supervise sessions at our drop-in centres and contribute to case-checking and quality assurance across the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will need knowledge, experience and ability to provide good quality advice. Recent experience of supervising telephone advice and supporting volunteers will be advantageous.

Caseworker Supervisor (EU Nationals Advice Project)

Starting Salary: £29,000 – £31,000 per annum pro rata depending on skills and experience
Hours: 21 hours per week (0.6 full-time equivalent)
Normal working hours 9.30-17.30 excluding lunch
We will consider applicants who wish to combine this role with the Casework Supervisor (Telephone Advice) role (see above) – i.e. a full time position.
Location: CAW Offices in Roehampton or Battersea Library (Clapham Junction) with occasional outreach and home visits
Contract: Fixed term for 12 months
May be extended subject to funding
Start Date: Immediately

Could you advise EU Citizens on their rights?

Wandsworth Council has commissioned Citizens Advice Wandsworth (CAW) to deliver a new service providing information and advice for non-British EU nationals living in the borough as the Brexit process develops. The post-holder will take responsibility for delivering the service, and developing expertise in the subject which they will share with CAW colleagues and local networks. The post-holder will also contribute to the delivery and supervision of wider CAW services.

To be successful in this role you will need knowledge, experience and ability to provide good quality advice and casework. Recent experience of supporting EU nationals regarding residency rights, protection from discrimination and welfare benefits will be advantageous. You will have the ability to undertake some project management responsibilities and to supervise our advice service and support volunteers.
